ACHIEVEMENTSExplore our key projects and discover how Atawey’s configurable and scalable hydrogen stations help tackle hydrogen mobility challenges.
Urban Mobility: Solutions for Local Authorities and Private Operators
Local governments (managing buses and refuse collection trucks) and private operators (taxi fleets, private transit companies) play a crucial role in decarbonized urban mobility. Atawey supports them with Anywey and Heavywey hydrogen stations tailored to urban transportation needs.
Flagship Projects:
Anywey Station
Givrand (France)
Atawey deployed a Aywey hydrogen station in Givrand (France - 85) as part of a project led by SyDEV. This station fuels two hydrogen-powered garbage trucks for waste collection in the Pays de Saint Gilles Croix de Vie region.
Commissioned: 2023
Heavywey Station
Vallée Sud Grand Paris (France)
Heavywey hydrogen refueling station (2 tonnes/day) to support the growing fleet of hydrogen-powered buses and refuse collection vehicles operating across the Greater Paris region. This strategic project contributes to the expansion of clean mobility in densely populated urban areas.
Commissioning planned for: 2026
Long-Distance Transport: Solutions for Uncompromising Service Continuity
Long-distance transport—including trucks, coaches and intercity buses—requires hydrogen refueling stations capable of delivering both high capacity and maximum availability. Atawey designs and deploys Heavywey stations that can scale alongside growing transport demand.
Flagship Projects:
Heavywey Station
Retail Distribution
On behalf of Colruyt Group and Virya Energy, Atawey is deploying three Heavywey hydrogen refueling stations in Belgium, with a combined dispensing capacity of more than 7 tonnes of hydrogen per day. Designed for heavy-duty mobility, these stations will support the decarbonization of commercial transport operations.
Commissioning planned for: 2026
Heavywey Stations
Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (France)
(ZEV Network)
Atawey has been a key partner in the Zero Emission Valley (ZEV) initiative, a flagship project launched to accelerate hydrogen-powered mobility across the Auvergne–Rhône-Alpes region. This long-term collaboration has evolved over time, enabling Atawey to deliver increasingly higher-capacity stations together with an expanded portfolio of services.
Chambéry station (50 kg/day) – The first station deployed under the ZEV project, supplying local vehicle fleets.
Moûtiers station (initial capacity: 100 kg/day) – Capacity increased to support the growing demand from heavy-duty vehicles.
Four additional stations (1.3 tonnes/day each) – These high-capacity stations serve long-haul transport fleets and support the transition to low-carbon freight and passenger transport.
Logistics & Warehousing: Efficiency and Sustainability
Real-world demonstrations and field trials play a critical role in accelerating the deployment of hydrogen mobility. Whether testing new use cases, validating vehicle performance, or assessing infrastructure under demanding operating conditions, these projects help overcome technical challenges and pave the way for large-scale deployment.
Thanks to the flexibility of its Anywey stations, Atawey supports these initiatives by providing reliable, rapidly deployable hydrogen refueling solutions designed to perform in the most challenging environments.
Hydrogen Mobility Testing
in Mountain Environments
In 2025, CCPEVA and Transdev conducted a pilot project to demonstrate the viability of hydrogen-powered passenger transport in mountainous regions.
Atawey contributed to the project's success by supplying one of its Anywey hydrogen refueling stations.
Full-Scale Testing
at Europe's Climate Extremes
To support the development of hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks, Atawey deployed its relocatable Anywey™ stations in two of Europe's most demanding operating environments.
The first deployment took place in Almería, southern Spain, where hydrogen trucks were refueled under temperatures regularly exceeding 40°C. The second was in Kiruna, northern Sweden, where testing continued in Arctic conditions with temperatures as low as −30°C.

« In three words: Quality, Expertise, Support.
We approached this hydrogen bus and coach pilot project with high standards and many unknowns: extremely tight deadlines, a team with little prior experience, vehicles integrating cutting-edge technologies… and yet, Atawey managed to support us from start to finish with outstanding professionalism.
Their teams truly made the difference — knowledgeable, responsive, and highly experienced, they guided us through every step of the journey. What also stood out to me was the compactness of the product: what this station can achieve, given its size, is genuinely impressive.
On top of that, I never received a single alert message from the station — which speaks volumes about the reliability of the system and the overall success of the project.
All in all, Atawey’s strength lies in offering a complete package: the product, the installation, and technical support. It’s been an incredibly rewarding experience, and to me, it’s through projects like this that hydrogen can truly take root in local communities. »
